Best Dress Shoes for Wide Feet? City Chic Miami Heels Review

Review: City Chic Miami Pointed Heels (Wide-Foot Friendly!)

If you are looking for a stylish, low-profile heel that doesn’t sacrifice stability, you’ll want to check out the City Chic Miami Pointed Heel. I recently got my hands on a pair, and even though the sizing wasn't quite right for me, I wanted to dive into the details of what makes this shoe a great pick—especially for my "wide-foot girlies."

Style & Aesthetic

The first thing you’ll notice is the gorgeous crisscross buckle design. It gives the shoe a sophisticated, pointed look that works perfectly for:

  • Work: Pairs beautifully with dress pants or slacks.

  • Events: Great for church or school functions.

  • Casual Chic: Wear them with skirts or dresses for an elevated look.

The pair I reviewed is a deep, rich color, but they also come in a Tan/Teal option if you prefer a lighter-colored brown shoe.

Material & Build

These are a fully synthetic shoe, featuring a synthetic upper and a durable rubber bottom.

  • Heel Height: A manageable 1.5 inches—perfect for all-day wear.

  • Comfort: There is a decent amount of padding on the insole. While it’s not extreme cushioning, it’s high quality for the price point.

  • Flexibility: The shoe has a surprising amount of "give" and even includes a small elastic insert on the side for added comfort as you move.

The Standout Feature: Non-Slip Soles

One of my favorite things about the City Chic Miami is the textured, non-slip bottom. Unlike those slippery EVA rubber bottoms found on many dress shoes, these have actual traction. There is even additional grip on the heel itself to help prevent those embarrassing slips on slick floors.

Sizing & Fit Guide

I tested the Size 39 (US Size 8). Here is what you need to know about the fit:

  • True to Size: If you follow European sizing, these are very accurate.

  • Wide-Foot Friendly: These are modeled after a wider foot template. If you usually struggle with narrow pointed heels, these are definitely worth a try.

  • My Experience: I’m a true Size 10, and while I could slip my foot into the shoe, the slingback wouldn't reach my heel. This confirms that the Size 8 is a true-to-size fit for those who actually wear an 8!

Final Verdict

For the price, the City Chic Miami is a solid, stylish choice. It’s hard to find a pointed heel that accommodates a wider foot while offering a non-slip grip, but this shoe checks both boxes.
